Kim Ji-won grew up as the younger of two sisters in a supportive family. In middle school, she was trained up as a backup singer. She was actually dreaming to be a backup singer. Followed by High school, she was scouted by a talent agency. The reason behind is the singing videos uploaded.

When she growing up, she was more focus on acting. Kim choose to study at Dongguk University. However, she bravely paused her degree to go for her acting career full-time. Since then Kim start acting as a minor role in 2008, the film called Romantic Island (also known as Mrs. Cop). Her performance gained attention as “Oran C Girl” in a Lotte Chilsung commercial.

So people call her “Little Kim Tae-hee” for her blending into the actress. After all, her early TV career started with High Kick: Revenge of the Short-Legged (2011-2012).
